Project Description

Fallen Sculpture: “For All They Gave”
Bronze, Polished & Natural Granite
17′ x 10′ x 8′
5.25 x 3.05 x 2.44 Meters

Throughout this project, it was very important to be that this memorial just not end up being a “Wall of Names and Dates.” To that end, every STORY of each officer’s death is engraved into the memorial stone. In 130 years as a department, the TPD has lost 11 good officers; low by the standards of some departments of similar age which can range into the 1,000’s (e.g. Chicago).

Below is the ROLL CALL OF HONOR. You can simply read their names and dates, or you can click on any image, and it will take you to the memorial page of the Tacoma Police Department where you can read a fuller story of each officer’s sacrifice.

You may never remember their individual name, but please let their stories become a part of you… as a way of Memorializing them and what they stood and died for.
