The Flagpole was installed, and the marker created for the memory of Commander Bow.

From the Plaque:

This flagpole is a tribute to the life of Commander Joseph Robert Bow for his leadership, dedication, talent, and loyal service to Kitsap County and the Manchester Library. Come rain or shine, high or low tides, “Bob” Bo cooked and served salmon for over 35 years.

Dedicated this 19^th day of June 2021

In my humble observations as the artist, I never knew Bob, but I came to know his daughter and hundreds of people who called him Friend. He was a truly great man and will be missed by the many people he touched.
