“Primary Defense” is a creation from re-purposed steel from a decommissioned Naval Vessel. The concept was to take a piece of a Navy warship created to defend the USA and reduce it to the most basic of human defense– a shield and spears. on the circle of this piece is a series of stamps in the steel that remembers the origins of this sculpture; It reads “U.S.S. 7007  USA 703  FGE 55″.

This Sculpture stands approximately 8′ tall depending on how you configure the two stainless steel spears and each spear is topped with a lead tip as well as wrapped aluminum handles. The sculpture itself is wrapped in a BEAUTIFUL Finish (patina) and has been clear coated in order to remain luscious for many, many years to come.
